The only difference between the tropic and nastic movement is that tropic movement is the movement which is caused by plant growth and nastic movement of plant is caused by growth of plant or  in some condition it is not caused by growth for example the nastic movement of sensitive plant which does not depend on the direction of stimulus it is caused by the loss of water from the pulvinus (firm). one of the major difference between them is tropism or tropic movement is depend on the direction of stimulus and the nasties or nastic movement of plant does not depend on the direction of stimulus
