Difference Between Nutrition in Human Beings and Amoeba

- Amoeba: Amoebae digest food intracellularly. Once the food is engulfed, enzymes within the food vacuole break it down, and the absorbed nutrients are utilized directly by the cell.

3. Nutrient Absorption
- Humans: Nutrients are absorbed primarily in the small intestine through specialized structures called villi, which increase surface area and enhance nutrient uptake.
- Amoeba: The absorbed nutrients in amoebae diffuse directly into the cytoplasm from the food vacuole, ensuring quick utilization.

4. Waste Elimination
- Humans: Waste products are eliminated through the excretory system (kidneys and intestines) after a complex filtration and absorption process.
- Amoeba: Waste is expelled through the cell membrane via diffusion or exocytosis, allowing for immediate removal without specialized organs.
