Given:
Speed of the first person = 2kmph
Speed of the second person = 4kmph
Time taken to overtake the first person = 9 seconds
Time taken to overtake the second person = 10 seconds

To find: Length of the train

Let the length of the train be L meters and its speed be x kmph.

When the train overtakes the first person:
Relative speed = x - 2 kmph
Time taken = 9 seconds

Distance covered = Relative speed * Time taken
L + length of the shadow of the train = (x - 2) * (9/3600) * 1000
L + length of the shadow of the train = (x - 2) * (1/400) * 1000

When the train overtakes the second person:
Relative speed = x - 4 kmph
Time taken = 10 seconds

Distance covered = Relative speed * Time taken
L + length of the shadow of the train = (x - 4) * (10/3600) * 1000
L + length of the shadow of the train = (x - 4) * (1/360) * 1000

Equating the expressions for L + length of the shadow of the train:
(x - 2) * (1/400) * 1000 = (x - 4) * (1/360) * 1000
x = 56 kmph

Substituting the value of x in any of the above equations, we get:
L = 50 meters

Therefore, the length of the train is 50 meters.
