Probability of an event happening is always less than or equal to 1. Therefore, probability of an event not happening is always greater than or equal to 0.

Given, P(A) = 2/5

We know that P(not A) + P(A) = 1

Therefore, P(not A) = 1 - P(A) = 1 - 2/5 = 3/5

Therefore, the correct answer is option 'A', i.e., 3/5.
