Probability of picking two black marbles:

Step 1: Determine the total number of ways to pick 2 marbles from the box
- Total number of marbles in the box = 4 white + 3 blue + 2 black = 9 marbles
- Number of ways to pick 2 marbles out of 9 = 9C2 = 36

Step 2: Determine the number of ways to pick 2 black marbles
- Number of black marbles = 2
- Number of ways to pick 2 black marbles out of 2 = 2C2 = 1

Step 3: Calculate the probability
- Probability of picking 2 black marbles = Number of ways to pick 2 black marbles / Total number of ways to pick 2 marbles
- Probability = 1 / 36

Therefore, the probability that both of the picked marbles are black is 1/36. Hence, option B is the correct answer.
