Given data:
Upstream distance covered in 30 minutes = 10 km
Downstream distance covered in 25 minutes = 10 km

To find:
The speed of the current in km/hr

Solution:
Let's assume that the speed of the boat is x km/hr and the speed of the current is y km/hr.

Speed of the boat in still water = (speed of boat + speed of current)

Speed of the boat while going upstream = (x - y)
Speed of the boat while going downstream = (x + y)

Distance = Speed × Time

Upstream distance covered in 30 minutes = (x - y) × (30/60) = (x - y)/2 × 10 = 10 km
=> (x - y) = 20 km/hr

Downstream distance covered in 25 minutes = (x + y) × (25/60) = (x + y)/2 × 10 = 10 km
=> (x + y) = 24 km/hr

Adding both the equations, we get:
2x = 44 km/hr
=> x = 22 km/hr (Speed of the boat in still water)

Substituting the value of x in any one equation, we get:
y = 2 km/hr (Speed of the current)

Therefore, the speed of the current is 2 km/hr. Hence, the correct answer is option (B).
