Given data:
Equivalent conductivity at infinite dilution, Λ∞ = 425 cm2eq-1
Specific conductance of HCl solution, κ = 3.825 cm-1
Apparent degree of dissociation, α = 90%

To find: Normality of the solution

Formula:
Equivalent conductivity (Λ) = κ/C
where, C is the concentration of the solution in mol L-1

Degree of dissociation (α) = Λ/Λ∞

Calculation:
From the given data,
Λ∞ = 425 cm2eq-1
κ = 3.825 cm-1
α = 90% = 0.9

Let the concentration of the solution be C mol L-1
Λ = κ/C

Degree of dissociation (α) = Λ/Λ∞
0.9 = Λ/425
Λ = 0.9 × 425 = 382.5 cm2eq-1

Λ = κ/C
382.5 = 3.825/C
C = 3.825/382.5 = 0.01 mol L-1

Normality (N) = Number of equivalents/volume of solution in L
For HCl, N = 1 (as it is monobasic)

Therefore, Normality of the solution = 1 × 0.01 = 0.1 N = 10.00 (option B)

Therefore, option B is the correct answer.
