so option b) is also incorrect.

ZnO(s)+C(s)→Zn(s)+CO(g)

Since oxygen has combined with carbon, carbon is the one that is oxidized and ZnO is the oxidizing agent. Similarly carbon has taken the oxygen of ZnO, carbon is the reducing agent and ZnO is the one that has been reduced.

In the above reaction, ZnO is reduced to Zn (REMOVAL OF OXYGEN IS REDUCTION).

It is chemical reaction in which loss of oxygen or gain of hydrogen take place called reduction reaction. in case zno are reduced oxygen in this chemical reaction .

As bcs there is removal of oxygen from ZnO, so it is being reduced, whereas in all other cases it doesn't satisfy...
