See there are actually 4 types of method to Control pregnancy they are:-
1) Barrier method:-
a) condom:- rubber sheath worn over the penis to stop sperm from entering the vagina.
prevents transmission of sexually transmitted disease and has no side effect.
b) Diaphragm:- rubber cup that is placed in the vagina over the cervix.
2) Hormonal method:-
a) oral contraceptive pills:- contain hormones, which prevent release of ovum, so that fertilisation cannot occur.
can cause side effects also.
3) Chemical method:-
a) spermicide:- applied on vagina.
kills sperm.
4) Surgical method:-
a) vasectomy:- small portion of the sperm duct is cut or tied properly . Therefore , the sperm transfer will be prevented.
v) Tubectomy:- small portion of oviduct is cut or tied properly. The fallopian tube in female gets bloced . The egg will not be able to reach the uterus and thus fertilisation will not take place.
