Gandhiji made the people know about the importamce of freedom... He encouraged the workers and peasants to raise voice against the unjust policies and laws of British...thats why he organised various satyagraha like KHEDA and CHAMPARAN... he made people know that how colonial rule was exploiting them as well as their country and its resources....he made people aware of everything happened in world as well as India and encouraged them to join the war of independence. That's how he converted national movement into mass movement.
