1) CATENATION - It is defined as self linking property of carbon with other carbon atoms resulting into a long chain of carbon atoms.
2) TETRA VALENT - It is tetra valent atom i.e., valency=4 . It can involve 4 much electrons in mutual sharing between atoms resulting into enormous number of carbon compounds .
