  • NEET UG 2024 Qualifying Exam requires a 10+2 or equivalent certificate from a recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core courses. 
  • Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024. 
  • There is no upper age restriction until the Supreme Court rules on it. 
  • The required class 12 percentile for the NEET UG 2024 test varies based on category: General – 50%, OBC/SC/ST – 40%, PWD – 45%. 
  • The applicants’ maximum number of attempts is unrestricted
  • Applicants who are Indian nationals, Foreign Nationals, NRIs, OCIs or PIOs are eligible to apply.

Age Limit : Upper & Lower Age


  • Lower Age Limit: Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the same year of candidate’s admission to the first year UG (Undergraduate) Medical course.
  • Upper age limit: Earlier, the candidate with 25 years of age on the examination date with a relaxation period of 5 years for candidates pertaining to category – SC/ST/OBC-NCL and PwD candidates was implemented. As of now, there is no upper age limit. Any candidate, 17  years of age can appear for NEET any number of times.

What is the Accepted Minimum Percentage of 12th Class for NEET?

  • To apply, candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.
