Dielectric constant of insulator is?
Verified Answer
Dielectric constant of insulator is?
Dielectric constant is the ability of an object to store as much energy in form of electric field, like an extent up to which a material concentrates electric flux. Its kind of something up to which an insulator keeps it's insulating properties. It can also be considered as the ratio of the permittivity of the object to the permittivity of free space (Relative permittivity). As the permittivity of free space/vacuum is 8.85*10^-12 F/m, the relative permittivity (dielectric constant) is unity for free space/vacuum.
