Now, since the charge at point P is positve, therefore some negative charge will be induced at the surface of the conductor which is near to point p and equal amount of positive charge will be induced at the farther surface of the conductor from point p. Since some of the farther surface of conductor lies inside the enclosed surface therefore charge present inside the surface will be positive and by applying gauss theorem net flux is (charge inside enclosed surface/permittivity) so therefore flux will be positive.
