- Depth of liquid 2 (h2) = 7.8 cm
- Refractive index of liquid 1 (n1) = 1.2
- Refractive index of liquid 2 (n2) = 1.3

Calculating the Apparent Depth:
- Apparent depth (h') = h1 * (n2/n1)

Substitute the values:
- h' = 8.4 * (1.3 / 1.2)
- h' = 8.4 * 1.0833
- h' = 9.116 cm

Calculating the Upward Displacement:
- Upward displacement = h' - h2
- Upward displacement = 9.116 - 7.8
