Let me give me my view in this question. Here ,to find the power of accomodation, we must find the difference between the power of eyes when object is placed at 25 cm and at infinity. So, when placed at 25 cm(near point of a normal eye) u = 25 cmv = 2.3 cmNow you might think why v=2.3 cm. Its because the image of the object formed is at retina of your eye and the diamtr of an eyeball is 2.3cm. So we take this distance as v and please note that it is an APPROXIMATE value.Continuing our calculations...1/f=1/v+1/u=1/25+1/2.3converting it in meters..=100/25+1000/23=4+43.47power =47.47 DNow let us consider the case when the object is at infinity..u = infinityv = 2.3 cm (img formed in retina)p= 1/f =1/v+1/u=1/2.3+1/infinityconverting it in meters=1000/23+0 (as 1/infinity is 0)=43.47 Dnow subtracting both 47.47-43.47=4 Dthus we have found the power of accomodation of normal eyeSORRY FOR SUCH A LONG ANS AND HOPE IT HELPS.

**Maximum Power of Accommodation**

The maximum power of accommodation refers to the ability of the eye to adjust its focus in order to see objects clearly at different distances. It is commonly measured in diopters (D), which is the unit of measurement for the refractive power of lenses.

**Definition of Accommodation:**

Accommodation is the process by which the eye changes the shape of its lens to focus on objects at varying distances. The lens becomes thicker or thinner, allowing the eye to bring objects into focus on the retina.

**Accommodative Range:**

The accommodative range is the difference in power of accommodation between maximum and minimum focusing distances. It is influenced by factors such as age, health, and overall eye condition.

**Maximum Power of Accommodation:**

The maximum power of accommodation can vary from person to person. On average, a person with normal vision has a maximum power of accommodation of around 15-20 diopters. This means that the eye can adjust its focus to see objects clearly at a range of distances from infinity down to about 5-7 cm.

**Factors Affecting Maximum Power of Accommodation:**

Several factors can affect the maximum power of accommodation:

1. **Age:** The maximum power of accommodation tends to decrease with age. As we get older, the lens becomes less flexible and loses its ability to change shape easily, leading to a reduced accommodative range.

2. **Health:** Conditions such as cataracts or corneal abnormalities can affect the maximum power of accommodation. These conditions may limit the eye's ability to focus properly, resulting in a reduced accommodative range.

3. **Eye Conditions:** Certain eye conditions, such as astigmatism or myopia (nearsightedness), can affect the maximum power of accommodation. These conditions may require the use of corrective lenses to compensate for the focusing issues and restore clear vision.

**Conclusion:**

In conclusion, the maximum power of accommodation of a person with normal vision is typically around 15-20 diopters. However, it is important to note that this value can vary among individuals and is influenced by age, health, and specific eye conditions. Regular eye exams and proper vision care can help maintain and optimize the power of accommodation.
