Conversion of force from C.G.S. system to kilogram, metre and minute system

Given: Magnitude of force in C.G.S. system = 100 dynes

Step 1: Convert dynes to newtons
1 dyne = 1 g cm/s^2
1 N = 1 kg m/s^2

Therefore, 100 dynes = 100/10^5 N = 0.001 N

Step 2: Convert seconds to minutes
1 minute = 60 seconds

Step 3: Write the force in kilogram, metre and minute system
Force = 0.001 N x 1 kg/1 N x 1 m/1 cm x 1 min/60 s
= 0.001 x 1 x 1/100 x 1/60 kg m/min
= 0.0000001667 kg m/min

Step 4: Simplify the answer
= 1.667 x 10^-7 kg m/min
= 1.667 x 10^-4 g cm/min

Therefore, the magnitude of the force in the new system is 1.667 x 10^-4 g cm/min or 3.6 x 10^-3 kg m/min. Thus, option C is the correct answer.
