Of course.. a burning splinter...
if we react Zn with HCl... H2 gas is produced... like follows :

Zn + HCl ----> ZnCl + H2

nd this H2 gas burn wit puppets sound.. if we take the burner closer to it !!!

so option A is ri8 !!

Identification of Gas Evolved in Diluted HCl-Zinc Reaction

To identify the gas evolved when diluted HCl reacts with zinc metal, we need to conduct a simple experiment. The reaction between zinc and diluted HCl produces hydrogen gas as a product. The gas can be identified by observing the characteristics of the gas. The following steps can be taken to identify the gas evolved:

Materials Required:
- Diluted Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)
- Zinc Metal (Zn)
- Test Tube
- Cork Stopper with a hole
- Delivery Tube
- Bunsen Burner
- Splinter (made of wood)

Experiment Steps:
1. Take a clean test tube and add a small piece of zinc metal into it.
2. Add a few ml of diluted HCl to the test tube.
3. Quickly close the test tube with a cork stopper that has a hole in the middle.
4. Insert a delivery tube into the cork stopper's hole and attach it to the Bunsen burner's flame.
5. Hold a burning splinter near the top of the delivery tube.

Observations:
- The reaction between zinc metal and diluted HCl produces a gas that travels through the delivery tube.
- The gas burns with a pop sound when it comes in contact with the burning splinter.
- The gas has no color, taste, or smell.

Conclusion:
The gas evolved in the reaction between diluted HCl and zinc metal is hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas is highly flammable and burns with a pop sound when it comes into contact with a flame. This gas has no color, taste, or smell, which is why it is difficult to identify without conducting a specific experiment. In this experiment, we used a burning splinter to identify the gas.
