Maximum demand = 15 MW
Load factor = 50%
Plant factor = 40%

To find: Operating reserve

Calculation:

1. Base Load:
Base Load = Maximum demand × Load factor
Base Load = 15 MW × 0.5 = 7.5 MW

2. Operating Reserve:
Operating Reserve = Maximum demand × (Plant factor - Load factor)
Operating Reserve = 15 MW × (0.4 - 0.5) = 15 MW × (-0.1) = -1.5 MW

3. Adjusted Base Load:
