Cataract: The image can not be seen distinctly because eye lens become milky and cloudy.
Myopia (Near Sightedness): A person can  see nearby object clearly, but cannot  see distant object distinctly. Image formed in front of the retina.
Hypermetropia  (Far-Sightedness): A person cannot  see nearby object clearly, but can  see distant object distinctly. Image  formed at a point behind  the  retina.
Presbyopia: As we become old,  the power of accommodation of  the eye usually decreases (due to weakening of cilliary muscles), the near point gradually  recedes away. This defect is called Presbyopia. Person may suffer from both myopia and hypermetropia.

Match the following with correct response.(1) Cataract(2) Myopia(3) Hy...
Myopia :- The defect of vision due to which a person can not see distant objects but can see near by objects clearly is called myopia . the far point of myopic eye is less than infinity. it is also known as shortsitedness. This defect of vision can be corrected by using concave lens which have more diverging power. it is caused by due to high converging power of eye lens or the eye ball being too long.

Hypermetropia :- The defect of vision due to which a person can not see near by objects but can see far objects clearly is called hypermetropia. the near point of an eye is 25 cm. it is also known as longsitedness. This defect of vision can be corrected by using convex lens which have more converging power. it is caused by due to high diverging power of eye lens or eye ball being too short.

Presbyopia :- The defect of vision due to which an old person can not see near by objects clearly due to Loss of power if accommodation of eye. This defect can be corrected by using spectacles having convex lens.
