The equilibrium constant for the reaction N2 (g) O2 - 2NO(g) is 4×10 power minus 4 at 2000 K In presence of a catalyst, equilibrium is attained ten times faster. Therefore, the equilibrium constant, in presence of the catalyst, at 2000 K is? (1) 40× 10 power minus 4 (2) 4 × 10 power minus 4 (3) 4× 10 power minus 3 (4) difficult to compute without more data?
Most Upvoted Answer
The equilibrium constant for the reaction N2 (g) O2 - 2NO(g) is 4×10...
Ans should be 4*10^-4.... Bcoz... In this case temperature remains same... And we know that catalyst has no effect in the equilibrium constant... It only speeds up the reaction.....

If here temperature does not remain constant then the eqbm constant also changes.....
