M, P and Q together started a business. M invested Rs. 6500 for 6 mont...
Solution:

Given:
M invested Rs. 6500 for 6 months
P invested Rs. 8400 for 5 months
Q invested Rs. 10000 for 3 months
Total gain = Rs. 7400

Let's calculate the profit of each member separately.

Profit of M:
M invested Rs. 6500 for 6 months, so his share of profit = (6500 * 6) / (6500 + 8400 + 10000) * 7400 = Rs. 1800

Profit of P:
P invested Rs. 8400 for 5 months, so his share of profit = (8400 * 5) / (6500 + 8400 + 10000) * 7400 = Rs. 2100

Profit of Q:
Q invested Rs. 10000 for 3 months, so his share of profit = (10000 * 3) / (6500 + 8400 + 10000) * 7400 = Rs. 3500

But M is a working member, so he gets an additional 5% of the total profit.

Additional profit of M = 5% of total profit = 0.05 * 7400 = Rs. 370

Final share of M = Profit of M + Additional profit of M = 1800 + 370 = Rs. 2170

Therefore, the share of Q = Profit of Q - Final share of M = 3500 - 2170 = Rs. 1330

Hence, Q's share is Rs. 1330.

Therefore, the correct option is A) Rs. 1900.
