Given:
A+B+C=50000
A=B+4000
B=C+5000
Total profit= Rs. 35000
To find: Profit received by A
Solution:
Using the given equations,
B=A-4000
C=B-5000=A-9000
Substituting the values of B and C in the first equation,
A+(A-4000)+(A-9000)=50000
3A-13000=50000
3A=63000
A=Rs. 21000
Now, to find the profit received by A,
Let the profit received by C be x.
Then, the profit received by B will be x+5000 and the profit received by A will be x+5000+4000=x+9000.
Total profit=x+(x+5000)+(x+9000)=3x+14000.
According to the given information, the total profit is Rs. 35000.
Therefore, 3x+14000=35000
3x=21000
x=Rs. 7000
So, A's profit=x+9000=Rs. 16000
Hence, the correct option is (d) Rs. 14700.

B=A-4000

Let the profit received by C be x.
Then, the profit received by B will be x+5000 and the profit received by A will be x+5000+4000=x+9000.
Total profit=x+(x+5000)+(x+9000)=3x+14000.
According to the given information, the total profit is Rs. 35000.
Therefore, 3x+14000=35000
3x=21000
x=Rs. 7000
So, A's profit=x+9000=Rs. 16000
