A wall 15 m long, 4 m high and 60 cm thick is to be constructed. If th...
Volume of wall = 1500 cm × 400 cm × 60 cm = 36 × 106 cm3           [∵ 1 m = 100 cm]
Volume of one brick = 24 cm × 10 cm × 8 cm = 1920 cm3
Number of bricks required = (Volume of wall)/(Volume of one brick)
∴ Number of bricks required = (36 × 106)/1920 = 18750
