Verified Answer
A, B and C enter into a partnership and their shares are in ratio 1/2 ...
Ratio of investments =1/2 : 1/3 : 1/4 , LCM of 2, 3, 4 = 12 ,multiply ratios with 12 we get 6 : 4 : 3 , so,initial investment be 6x, 2x and 3x so, we can write: A : B :C
=(6x X 2 + 3x X 10 ) : (4x X 12) :(3x X 12) = 7:8:6
B’s share= (8/21) x 1050 = 400

's share in the profit?

Let us assume that the initial investments of A, B and C are x, y and z respectively.

Their shares in the partnership are in the ratio 1/2 : 1/3 : 1/4, which can be written as:

A's share = x/2x, B's share = y/3x, and C's share = z/4x

We can simplify this as:

A's share = 3/6, B's share = 2/6, and C's share = 1/6

After 2 months, A withdraws half of his capital. This means his share in the partnership reduces to:

A's share = 1/2 * 3/6 = 3/12 = 1/4

The shares of B and C remain the same.

Let the total profit at the end of 12 months be P.

The profit is divided in the ratio of their shares, which are now:

A's share = 1/4, B's share = 2/6, and C's share = 1/6

Therefore, we can write:

A's share = (1/4) * P, B's share = (2/6) * P, and C's share = (1/6) * P

Given that the total profit is Rs 1050, we can substitute this value to find B's share:

(2/6) * 1050 = Rs 350

Therefore, B's share in the profit is Rs 350.
