The batting average of a batsman for 20 innings is 35 and the differen...
Given:
Batting average of a batsman for 20 innings = 35
Difference between the runs of best inning and worst inning = 50
New batting average for 18 innings = 32

To find:
The best score of the batsman

Solution:
Let the total runs scored by the batsman in 20 innings be x.
Then, according to the question,
x/20 = 35
x = 700

Let the runs scored in the best inning be y.
Then, let the runs scored in the worst inning be y - 50.
So, the total runs scored in 18 innings excluding the best and worst innings will be (x - y - (y - 50)) = (700 - 2y + 50) = (750 - 2y)

According to the question,
(750 - 2y)/18 = 32
750 - 2y = 576
2y = 174
y = 87

Therefore, the best score of the batsman is 87.

Answer: Option C.
