Approach:
1. Calculate the relative speed between the policeman and the thief.
2. Determine the time taken for the policeman to catch the thief.
3. Calculate the distance the policeman needs to run to catch the thief.

Calculations:
1. Relative speed = Speed of policeman - Speed of thief
Relative speed = 20 km/h - 16 km/h = 4 km/h
2. Time taken to catch the thief:
Time = Distance / Relative speed
Time = 200m / (4 km/h * 1000m/1km * 1h/3600s) = 200 / (4 * 1000 * 1 / 3600) seconds
Time = 200 / (4 * 1000 / 3600) seconds
Time = 200 / (0.004 * 1000) seconds
Time = 200 / 4 seconds
Time = 50 seconds
3. Distance the policeman needs to run:
Distance = Speed of policeman * Time
Distance = 20 km/h * (50 s * 1h/3600s)
Distance = 20 km/h * (50/3600) h
Distance = 20 km/h * 0.0138889 h
Distance = 0.277778 km
Distance = 277.778 m
Therefore, the policeman will have to run 277.778 meters to catch the thief. The correct answer is option 'D' - none of these.
