How many Kgs of rice A costing rupees 20 per kg must be mixed with 20 ...
Problem Statement:
Find the amount of rice A that needs to be mixed with rice B to obtain a profit of 25% on selling them at 35 rupees per kg.

Given:
Cost of rice A = Rs. 20 per kg
Cost of rice B = Rs. 32 per kg
Selling price = Rs. 35 per kg
Profit percentage = 25%
Quantity of rice B = 20 kg

Solution:
Let the amount of rice A needed be x kg.
Total quantity of mixture = x + 20 kg
Let the cost price of the mixture be C.

Cost of rice A = 20x
Cost of rice B = 32 x 20 = 640

Total cost = 20x + 640

We need to find the selling price of the mixture to obtain a profit of 25%. Let the selling price be S.

Profit percentage = (S - C) / C * 100
25 = (S - C) / C * 100
S - C = 0.25C
S = 1.25C

S = 1.25(20x + 640)
S = 25x + 800

We know that selling price per kg = Rs. 35
So, (25x + 800) / (x + 20) = 35
25x + 800 = 35x + 700
10x = 100
x = 10

Therefore, 10 kg of rice A costing Rs. 20 per kg needs to be mixed with 20 kg of rice B costing Rs. 32 per kg to obtain a profit of 25% by selling the mixture at Rs. 35 per kg.
