Since we are given time to cross a point which is 1/5th of the way and 1/3rd of the way, we can rewrite them as 3/15th and 5/15th of the way which implies that 2/15th of the way was covered in 10 minutes.
This means that the entire route was covered in 10 × 15/2 = 75 minutes (each 1/15th part is covered in 75/15 = 5 minutes) leading to time of arrival at school as 9:50 – 15 + 75 = 10: 50 hours.

To determine the time Chinnaswamy reaches his son, we need to calculate how long it takes him to travel from the church to the temple and from the temple to the school.

Let's assume that the total distance from Chinnaswamy's starting point to the school is represented by "x."

According to the information given, Chinnaswamy crossed the church, which is 1/5th of the total distance, at 9:50 hours. This means he covered (1/5)*x distance in 10 minutes.

In 10 minutes, Chinnaswamy covered 1/5th of the total distance.
Therefore, (1/5)*x = x/5 distance was covered in 10 minutes.

Similarly, Chinnaswamy passed the temple, which is 1/3rd of the total distance, 10 minutes after passing the church. This means he covered (1/3)*x distance in 20 minutes (10 minutes from the church to the temple + 10 minutes from the temple to the school).

In 20 minutes, Chinnaswamy covered 1/3rd of the total distance.
Therefore, (1/3)*x = x/3 distance was covered in 20 minutes.

Now, let's calculate the total time it takes Chinnaswamy to reach his son.

From the given information, we know that he passed the church at 9:50 hours and took 10 minutes to reach the temple. So, he reached the temple at 10:00 hours.

Now, since he took 20 minutes to travel from the temple to the school, we add 20 minutes to 10:00 hours.

10:00 hours + 20 minutes = 10:20 hours.

Therefore, Chinnaswamy will reach his son at 10:20 hours.
