    To find Thevenin’s voltage, we need to find open circuit voltage across load RL.

    By applying KVL at the input side.
    -10 + 4I1 + V1 = 0
    From equations 1 and 2
    ⇒ V1 = 2V2 and I1 = V2
    ⇒ -10 + 4V2 + 2V2 = 0

    To find Thevenin’s resistance: we need to suppress all the independent source in the circuit.

    I = I2.
