The ratio of milk and water in 55 litres of adulterated milk is 7 : 4....
Milk quantity in initial mixture : = (7/11) * 55 = 35 liter
and water quantity = (4/11) * 55 = 20 litre

let " x " liter water added and so resultant ratio is 7:6

Because Milk quantity is same in both mixture :

so ( 7/13) * (55 + x) = 35
==> x = 10 liter.
