Given data:
Speed of boat in still water = 14 km/h
Distance between points A and B = 45 km
Total time taken = 7 hours

Let's assume the speed of the stream to be x km/h.

Upstream Journey:
Speed of boat = (14 - x) km/h
Time taken to travel from A to B = Distance/Speed
= 45/(14 - x)

Downstream Journey:
Speed of boat = (14 + x) km/h
Time taken to travel from B to A = Distance/Speed
= 45/(14 + x)

Total time taken = 7 hours

Equating the above two equations we get,
45/(14 - x) + 45/(14 + x) = 7
Multiplying both sides by (14 - x)(14 + x),
45(14 + x) + 45(14 - x) = 7(14 - x)(14 + x)
Simplifying the above equation we get,
x = 4 km/h

Therefore, the speed of the stream is 4 km/h.
