P, Q and R enter into partnership. P advances one-fourth of the capita...
Given, P contributes 1/4 capital for 1/4 time, Q contributes 1/5 capital for 1/2 time and R contributes the remaining capital for the whole time.

Let the total profit be x.

Then, P's share = (1/4) × (1/4) × x = x/16

Q's share = (1/5) × (1/2) × x = x/10

R's share = x - (x/16 + x/10) = 7x/80

Adding all the shares, we get:

x/16 + x/10 + 7x/80 = x

Simplifying the above equation, we get:

x = Rs. 1760

Therefore, P's share = (1/4) × (1/4) × 1760 = Rs. 110

Q's share = (1/5) × (1/2) × 1760 = Rs. 176

R's share = 1760 - (110 + 176) = Rs. 1474

Hence, the profits should be divided as follows:

- P: Rs. 110
- Q: Rs. 176
- R: Rs. 1474
