Formula used:
Time taken = Distance / Speed

Calculation:
1 kmph = 5/18 m/s (meters per second)
Speed of the train in m/s = 60 × 5/18 = 16.67 m/s
Distance covered by the train to pass the telegraph post = length of the train = 110 m
Time taken by the train to pass the telegraph post = distance/speed = 110/16.67 = 6.6 seconds
