- Lenticels are small, raised, circular or elongated structures present on the surface of the stems, roots, and fruits of a plant.
- They are formed due to the rapid growth of the underlying tissues that leads to the splitting of the epidermis.
- They allow the exchange of gases between the internal tissues and the atmosphere.
- In dicot stems, lenticels are present on the surface of the stem, in between the nodes.

Collenchymatous Hypodermis:

- The collenchymatous hypodermis is a type of tissue found in the stem of dicot plants.
- It is composed of elongated cells with thickened walls that provide mechanical support to the plant.
- The cells of the collenchymatous hypodermis are located just beneath the epidermis and are arranged in a continuous layer.
- The collenchymatous hypodermis also contains chloroplasts, which help in photosynthesis.

Presence of Lenticels and Collenchymatous Hypodermis in Dicot Stem:

- Both lenticels and collenchymatous hypodermis are present in the stem of dicot plants.
