Theory of Natural Selection was proposed by Charles Darwin. Darwin insisted that in a population, organisms with heritable traits that favour survival and reproduction will increase their frequency over the generations but the carrying capacity of the environment is limited. Hence, nature selects the best-suited organisms that have a greater chance to become parents for the next generation. There is a struggle among the organisms for existence and the fittest organism survives.
