Given:
Current (I) = 4 A
Voltage (V) = 220 V
Mass of water (m) = 1 kg
Room temperature (T1) = 20°C
Boiling point of water (T2) = 100°C

We know that the heat required to raise the temperature of m kg water from T1 to T2 can be calculated using the formula:

Heat (Q) = m × s × ΔT
where s is the specific heat capacity of water and ΔT is the change in temperature (T2 - T1).

For water, s = 4200 J/kg°C

So, Q = m × 4200 × (100 - 20) = 336000 J

We also know that the power (P) of the electric kettle is given by:

P = VI

So, P = 220 × 4 = 880 W

The time (t) taken to heat the water can be calculated using the formula:

Q = Pt

So, t = Q/P = 336000/880 ≈ 381.81 s ≈ 6.36 minutes

Therefore, the correct answer is option (B) 6.3 minutes.
