Let the age of two friends be 6x and 5x
Sum of their ages 66 => 6x + 5x = 66 => 11x = 66 => x=6
The ages will be 36 and 30
 (36+k)/(30+k) = 7/6 => 36 x 6 + 6k = 210 + 7k
216 + 6k = 210 + 7k => 6 = k
After 6 years their ages will be in the ratio 7:6

The age of the two friends were in the ration of 6:5.If the sum of the...
Given information:
- The age of two friends are in the ratio of 6:5.
- The sum of their ages is 66.

To find:
- After how many years their ratio will become 7:6.

Solution:
Let the ages of the two friends be 6x and 5x.
According to the given information, 6x + 5x = 66
=> 11x = 66
=> x = 6

So, the ages of the two friends are 36 and 30.

Let the number of years after which the ratio becomes 7:6 be y.
After y years, the ages of the two friends will be (36+y) and (30+y).

According to the question,
(36+y)/(30+y) = 7/6

On cross-multiplication, we get:
6(36+y) = 7(30+y)
=> 216 + 6y = 210 + 7y
=> y = 6

Therefore, after 6 years, the ratio of the ages of the two friends will become 7:6.

Answer: Option B) 6
