°C. The pressure inside the cylinder is 1 atm. If the temperature is increased to 50°C, what will happen to the water and water vapor inside the cylinder?

When the temperature is increased to 50°C, the water and water vapor inside the cylinder will reach a new equilibrium. The equilibrium pressure of the water vapor will increase due to the higher temperature. Since the piston is movable, it will adjust its position to maintain the pressure inside the cylinder at 1 atm. As a result, some of the liquid water will evaporate to increase the amount of water vapor, while some of the water vapor will condense to increase the amount of liquid water. The relative amounts of water and water vapor will change, with more water vapor present at the higher temperature.
