Area under acceleration-time (a-t) graph gives us change in velocity.
Area of the triangle = 1/2 x 2 x 4 = 4
So, change in velocity or △v = 4 m/s

Since the particle starts its motion from rest, so initial velocity= 0 m/s

  △v = final velocity - initial velocity
⇒  4= final velocity - 0
⇒final velocity = 4m/s

Therefore, answer is option (a) 4 m/s
