Let the resistance of the bulb be R. The,

(R + 2.5)(0.5) = 4

R + 2.5 = 8

R = 5.5 ohms

Energy dissipated in form of heat = i^2Rt

= (0.25)(5.5)(10 x 60)

=  825 J
