Aerobic respiration

Aerobic respiration is the process by which glucose is broken down in the presence of oxygen to produce ATP. The process involves four stages - glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, Krebs cycle, and electron transport chain. During glycolysis, glucose is converted to pyruvate, producing two molecules of ATP and two molecules of NADH. NADH carries high-energy electrons that are used to generate ATP in the electron transport chain.

Reaction of NADH in Aerobic respiration

During the electron transport chain, NADH donates its high-energy electrons to a series of electron carriers, leading to the production of a proton gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane. The proton gradient drives the production of ATP by ATP synthase. In this process, oxygen acts as the final electron acceptor, forming water.

Therefore, it is clear that NADH of glycolysis reacts with oxygen in the process of aerobic respiration to liberate energy. Hence, the correct answer is option C - Aerobic respiration.
