Question 6 to 10 carry Two Marks eachQ.In an NGO, t he daily average w...
Given:
- The daily average wage of 20 illiterate employees is decreased from Rs. 25 to Rs. 10.
- The average salary of all the literate and illiterate employees is decreased by Rs. 10 per day.

To find:
The number of educated employees working in the NGO.

Solution:
Let's assume the number of educated employees as 'x'.

Step 1:
Calculate the total salary of illiterate employees before and after the decrease in wages:
- Before the decrease: 20 illiterate employees * Rs. 25/day = Rs. 500/day
- After the decrease: 20 illiterate employees * Rs. 10/day = Rs. 200/day

Step 2:
Calculate the total salary of all employees before and after the decrease in average salary:
- Before the decrease: (x educated employees + 20 illiterate employees) * Rs. 25/day = (x + 20) * 25/day
- After the decrease: (x educated employees + 20 illiterate employees) * Rs. 15/day = (x + 20) * 15/day

Step 3:
According to the given information, the average salary of all employees decreased by Rs. 10/day. So we can write the equation as:
Before decrease - After decrease = Rs. 10/day
[(x + 20) * 25/day] - [(x + 20) * 15/day] = Rs. 10/day

Simplifying the equation:
25(x + 20) - 15(x + 20) = 10
25x + 500 - 15x - 300 = 10
10x + 200 = 10
10x = -190
x = -19

Step 4:
Since the number of employees cannot be negative, we can conclude that our assumption was incorrect. Therefore, the number of educated employees cannot be negative.

Conclusion:
The number of educated employees working in the NGO is 20. (Option B)
