During resting stage resting membrane potential is -70mv inside -ve charge outside +ve charge and also in resting stage axolemma more premeable to k+ than -ve charge so when Na+ enter it is depolarized -70mv to +30 mv, for decresing +ve charge inside active pump activate the 3Na+outside 2 k+ inside no increase of +ve charge inside because more k+ goes outside as axolemma more premeable to it so again +30 mv to -75 mv leads to repolarisation . some important exceptions are 1) in ears hair cells when k+influx occur then it is depolarized and in heart acenode when ca+influx occur then it is depolarized. in case of eyes retina, actually in resting stage polarized state and in stimulus state depolarized but in this case resting stage depolarized stimulus state hyperpolarised
