Human respiratory system is a system which consists of many respiratory organs which helps in respiration.Respiration starts from our nose till the alveoli. The pathway of respiration is given below
• Nose ---> Nasal passage
• Pharynx
• Larynx
•Tranchea
• Bronchi
• Bronchioles
• Alveoli
First the oxygenated air enter through our nose through the two opening.In the nose we have so many hair and mucous which helps in purification of air from dust particles. Then this air goes to pharynx through the nasal passage. Pharynx is the common passageway for food and air. Then this air reach the larynx.Then the air goes to the tranchea. Tranchea is more boarder than oesophagus and tranchea have ring like structure known as ring of cartilage. Rings of cartilage helps tranchea to stay in place. Then this oxygenated air reach bronchi then to bronchioles and then to alveoli. Alveoli is balloon like structure which is surrounded by blood vessels. This oxygenated air enters the blood vessel through simple diffusion. Then this alveoli takes deoxygenated air and takes the same process .

Nose and Mouth: Air enters the respiratory system through the nose or mouth. The nose warms, filters and moistens the air before it reaches the lungs.

Pharynx: The pharynx, or throat, is a tube-like structure that connects the nose and mouth to the trachea. It also helps in swallowing food and water.

Larynx: The larynx, or voice box, is a cartilaginous structure that contains the vocal cords. It helps in producing sound and prevents food and water from entering the trachea.

Trachea: The trachea, or windpipe, is a tube-like structure that connects the larynx to the bronchi. It is lined with cilia and mucus to trap and remove foreign particles and bacteria.

Bronchi: The bronchi are two branches that extend from the trachea into the lungs. They further divide into smaller branches called bronchioles.

Lungs: The lungs are two large organs that are responsible for gas exchange. They are made up of millions of tiny air sacs called alveoli, which are surrounded by blood vessels.

Diaphragm: The diaphragm is a muscle that separates the chest cavity from the abdominal cavity. It plays a key role in breathing by contracting and relaxing to change the pressure in the lungs.

The process of breathing involves two phases:

Inhalation: During inhalation, the diaphragm contracts and moves downward, causing the chest cavity to expand. This creates a vacuum in the lungs, and air is drawn in through the nose or mouth.

Exhalation: During exhalation, the diaphragm relaxes and moves upward, causing the chest cavity to shrink. This increases the pressure in the lungs, and air is forced out through the nose or mouth.

The respiratory system is vital for our survival, as it ensures that our body receives the oxygen it needs to function properly. It also helps to remove waste products, such as carbon dioxide, from the body.
