When you have mixed the solutions of lead (II) nitrate and potassium i...
See here friend, When you mix the solutions of Lead nitrate [Pb(NO3)2] and Potassium Iodide [KI], You will see the formation of insoluble substance like salt in this Reaction.

See this belowed chemical equation friend.

Pb(NO3)2 + KI → PbI2↓ + KNO3.

As you can see this above Chemical equation, When Lead nitrate reacts with Potassium Iodide, it forms Yellow colour precipitate (Or simply the formation of insoluble substance like salt) and Potassium Nitrate in the product side of the chemical equation.

You can see the "↓" sign beside the Lead Iodide (PbI2), this shows that the formed insoluble substance like salt (or Precipitate) is Lead Iodide.

(i)Lead Iodide forms Yellow colour precipitate in this Reaction.

(ii) Pb(NO3)2 + 2KI → PbI2↓ + 2KNO3. It is the balanced Chemical equation.

(iii)Yes friend, absolutely this reaction is also a Double Displacement Reaction. Because, in this reaction, mutually exchanges their ions in two compounds.

Pb(NO3)2 and KI are the two compounds. When they reacts with each other, they exchange their ions to form PbI2 and KNO3 in the product side of the chemical equation.

Hope you have understand this concept friend..

When you have mixed the solutions of lead (II) nitrate and potassium i...
Lead nitrate = Pb[NO]₂
Potassium Iodide = KI

Colour of the precipitate formed is Yellow [ Lead Iodide ]

KI + Pb[NO₃]₂ -----> KNO₃ + PbI₂
-----> UNBALANCED EQUATION

2Kl+ Pb[NO₃]₂ -----> 2KNO₃ + PbI₂
----> BALANCED EQUATION

This is an example of double displacement reaction.

Also , as yellow precipitate is formed , this is also an example of precipitation reaction.
