The value of molal depression constant is independent of the molality of solution. It only depends on the nature of solvent. So, option c is correct.

If molality of the dilute solution is doubled,then value of molal depr...
Explanation:
Molality: Molality is the number of moles of solute per kilogram of solvent. It is denoted by 'm'.

Molal Depression Constant (Kf): It is a colligative property of a solution and is defined as the depression in freezing point of the solvent when one mole of solute is dissolved in one kilogram of the solvent. It is denoted by 'Kf'.

Now, let's consider a dilute solution with molality 'm' and Kf as 'Kf1'.
When the molality of the solution is doubled, the new molality becomes '2m'.
Let the new value of Kf be 'Kf2'.

Formula: Kf = (1000 * R * T) / (ΔHf * w2)

Where,
R = Gas constant
T = Temperature in Kelvin
ΔHf = Molar enthalpy of fusion of the solvent
w2 = Mass of solvent in grams

Since temperature, molar enthalpy of fusion, and mass of solvent remain constant, the above formula can be written as:

Kf1 = (1000 * R * T) / (ΔHf * w2 * m)
Kf2 = (1000 * R * T) / (ΔHf * w2 * 2m)

Dividing Kf2 by Kf1, we get:

Kf2 / Kf1 = (1000 * R * T) / (ΔHf * w2 * 2m) * (ΔHf * w2 * m) / (1000 * R * T)
Kf2 / Kf1 = 2

Therefore, when the molality of the solution is doubled, the value of Kf also gets doubled. Hence, option (4) is the correct answer.
