And Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of the Assertion.

In a test-tube baby program, ova (eggs) are collected from either the wife or a donor female, and sperms are collected from either the husband or a donor male. These ova and sperms are then induced to form a zygote (fertilized egg) under simulated conditions in the laboratory.

After the zygote is formed, it develops into an embryo. When the embryo has more than 8 blastomeres (cells), it is transferred to the fallopian tube through a procedure called Zygote Intra-Fallopian Transfer (ZIFT). The embryo continues its development in the fallopian tube until it implants into the uterus.

Both the Assertion and Reason are true, and the Reason is the correct explanation of the Assertion. The reason being that embryos with more than 8 blastomeres are considered more likely to implant successfully and result in a successful pregnancy. Therefore, they are transferred to the fallopian tube for further development.
