Given Data:
- Velocity of sound in air at room temperature (v) = 340 m/s
- Length of air column in pipe (L) = 20 cm = 0.2 m
- Inner diameter of the pipe (d) = 4 cm = 0.04 m
- Pipe closed at one end and open at both ends

Formula:
- The frequency of the nth harmonic in a pipe closed at one end and open at both ends is given by the formula:
\( f_n = \frac{n v}{4L} \)

Calculation:
- Second overtone corresponds to n = 3
- Substitute the values in the formula:
\( f_3 = \frac{3 \times 340}{4 \times 0.2} \)
\( f_3 = \frac{1020}{0.8} \)
\( f_3 = 1275 Hz \)
