The average age of a class of 30 students and a teacher reduces by 0.5...
Age of teacher = Total age(student + teacher) - total age of students

                            =  30 x 14 - 13 x 13.5

                            = 434 -403

                            = 29 years

The average age of a class of 30 students and a teacher reduces by 0.5...
Given:
Total number of students and teacher = 30 + 1 = 31
Initial average age = 14 years

To find:
Age of the teacher

Solution:
Let the age of the teacher be x.

When the teacher is included, the total sum of the ages of 31 people is:
31 * 14 = 434

When the teacher is excluded, the total sum of the ages of 30 students is:
30 * (14 - 0.5) = 405

The teacher's age can be found by subtracting the sum of the ages of 30 students from the sum of the ages of 31 people:
434 - 405 = 29

Therefore, the age of the class teacher is 29 years, which is option (C).
